What is Paintball?
Paintball is a sport of shooting paintballs out of a paintball marker
(some call it a gun) using compressed air. It is a very safe and fun
sport of shooting paintballs at the other team of players

What is a paintball made of?
A paintball is a thin-skinned gelatin capsule with a
colored liquid (paint) inside. Very similar to a medicine capsule that
is filled with medicine. |

Does it hurt?
At Adventure Park Paintball we require that all paintball markers be set
(chronographed) at no higher than 275 feet per second. At this speed the
feeling is very similar to being snapped by a rubber band. We offer FREE
chronographing (or setting) of the speed of your paintball marker. |

Is it safe?
Yes. An independent insurance company did a recent study that has shown that more people are injured during a one year period while playing Golf, Tennis and even Bowling than are injured while playing Paintball. |

Do you explain the rules and let everyone know what is expected?
Everyone is required to watch a safety video and take part in a safety
briefing for our field’s specific rules. We also have trained referees
during every game that keep things safe and fun. Those not abiding by
our rules to keep this a fun and safe family game will be asked to
leave. If you would like we have placed a copy of the
safety video on our website for you to
review.

How old do I need to be?
The age limit to play at Adventure Park Paintball is ten (10) years old without adult supervision. Call for limitations for those that may be just under the age of 10. |

Can I play by myself? |

The Paintball Park
is open every Saturday and Sunday for open play. You can come by
yourself but we recommend that you bring a couple of friends to have
fun too! We always encourage you to make a reservation. This way we
can assure that we have plenty of equipment and staff on hand. |

How do I make a reservation?
You can call (319) 453-5530 any time between the hours of 9am to 9:00 pm
or use our convenient online reservation form found on the left side of
every page. |

Will it stain my clothes?
The paint used in our paintballs is non-staining. If left in your
clothing over time anything will stain so we recommend that you wash
your clothes regularly. |

Do I need to bring or wear anything special?
We would recommend that you don’t have a lot of bare skin so long pants
and long shirts are nice. Don’t come with flip flops or sandals and
although our paint is non-staining we would recommend that you don’t
bring your best clothes. This is paint after all. |

Do I need to have my parent with me?
If you are under eighteen (18) you must have a parent’s signature on the
waiver form. You can download the waiver on our website under resources

Do you have a gun and
protective mask for me to rent?
Yes, please call to inquire or just come to the field during normal
business hours. Equipment is always available at the paintball field. We
always encourage you to make a reservation. This way we can assure that
we have plenty of equipment and staff on hand. |

Do you have a store?
We have a pro shop that offers many paintball items and can order
anything that you need. You will find that our prices are usually
cheaper than those you can find at the store because of our low overhead
and love of the sport. We want you to have fun.

Do you service paintball equipment?
We have a certified technician for many of the guns, hoppers and other
paintball gear on-site almost every day we are open. Our rates are low
and service is fast. Come and let us keep your gear in top shape.

Can I bring food or drink?
Paintball is an extreme sport and you should make sure that you stay
hydrated and nourished. You are welcome to bring anything with you or
for your convenience we have a snack shop at the park. |

Can I bring paint I bought from my local store?
We are a field paint only playing field. We do this for many reasons but
here are a few.
- We want to
provide the best paint for the most reasonable price so your gun
works well and you continue to enjoy the game without having to
worry about bad paint.
- We want to
keep the sport safe and fun. This way we keep tampered or staining
paint away from our players.

You must not forget that we provide you a full day of entertainment,
air, referees and 9 playing fields for only $10. Yes, the profit we
make on our paint helps us to continue offering all of these great
benefits. Three other fields in the area that used to allow you to
bring your own paint are now out of business.
